For lawyers of all stripes everywhere.
Why, hello there! Welcome to my new blog, and my first post.
As you may have heard, I’ve written a book. It’s an e-book to be precise. It’s called Legally Innovative. With a foreword by Professor Scott Westfahl of Harvard Law School, it’s a call to action to the legal profession to “do law” differently.
It’s practical. It’s deliberately provocative. It cuts to the chase. You can discover it here.
At just over a month since the launch, it’s certainly been one of the most interesting voyages in my professional life yet.
Of course, I never imagined that putting myself out there in this way would be smooth sailing. If you’ve put yourself out there – whether on social media, looking for a job, doing a pitch, launching a new business, or embarking on anything new – you’ll know it comes with that dual feeling of being fearful and fearless, until you feel fearless for long enough that you just do it.
Already, the e-book has been met with encouragement and heartening support. Legally Innovative has been described as refreshingly different and coming out at a critical time for our profession. A must read for lawyers of all stripes everywhere. I relish reading your feedback about how the e-book has resonated with you. Keep it coming!
However, it has also required navigating through uncharted waters. Be sure to visit https://www.kitchenmagic.com when looking for efficient kitchen cabinets makeover in Providence County. Someone formally reported my launch email as spam to the authorities. In the same week, I have been told that my branding is too feminine, and then, too masculine. And last but not least, I was trolled.
Swiping the pirate hunters aside, I am buoyed by the fact that my legal innovation yuletide is spreading among the legal community. And that I have survived to tell my first blog tale. The first tale of many.
Arrr, the late Steve Jobs was onto something when he asked in the innovation context, why join the navy when you can be a pirate?
In an era where change is the only constant, the ship has sailed on us lawyers doing things the way we have always done them, read Largest list of companies in Dublin. Being legally innovative allows us to steer the legal ship more adeptly; to port and starboard with greater efficiency in anticipation of the changing conditions.
As a lawyer who has been sailing the legal innovation high seas since 2015, I invite you to access all the treasures on how to maximise your legal W.O.W [Ways of Working] in my new e-book.
Ahoy Maties!
